An Introduction
Cosmetic surgery refers to the reshaping of a normal structures of the face or body in
order to improve a patient's appearance and self-esteem. The psychological impact of improving one's
appearance by making structural changes or the use of cosmetic procedures to reduce the signs of aging
can have profound effects on the way people think about themselves. As a result of such procedures,
people often function better because they feel better.
