Forehead and Brow Lifts

The brow and forehead are often the first areas on the face to show signs of aging. Skin begins to lose its elasticity. The combined effects of the sun, wind, smoke and gravity all affect the face, and result frown lines, wrinkling across the forehead, and an increasing heaviness of the eyebrows. Men and women elect to forehead lifts to reduce the look of being tired, angry, or sad.

Good health and realistic expectations are prerequisites for this surgery as for all other cosmetic procedures. The procedure involves tightening of loose skin and removal of excess skin. The procedure lessen forehead wrinkling and modifies drooping brows. Sometimes the surgeon removes part of the muscle that causes vertical frown lines between the brows. Incisions can be placed at the hairline, behind the hairline, above the brow or in the mid-forehead. With the use of endoscopic techniques, incisions and visibility of scars are reduced. The result can be a smoother brow and a more youthful expression.
