Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
Eyelid surgery is a procedure intended to remove excess skin and
muscle and sometimes fat, from the upper and lower eyelids. The
procedure may be used to correct drooping upper lids and puffy bags
beneath the eyes that make people look older and more tired. It can
be a remedy for sagging skin and weakened muscles around the eyes,
but is not used to correct crow's feet, other wrinkles,
dark circles under the eyes or sagging eyebrows.
Eyelid surgery and browlift can also be used to correct visual impairment
from excess upper lid skin.
