Breast augmentation is a procedure used to enhance breast size and shape, balance difference in breast size, or to improve body contour or as a post-surgery reconstructive technique. The most common procedure involves the implant of silicone shells filled with saline solution. These are placed directly under the breast tissue or beneath the chest wall muscle. The procedure gives the breasts a fuller and more natural contour.
